To my blog visitors....

Dear visitors,
I request all of you to comment on the blog. See, if you don't write to me, I can't know whether I write well or not. Or whether I should at all continue posting. It's not a matter whether you agree or disagree with me on issues discussed here. In case you disagree and still post a decent comment, clearly stating why you disagree, I shall be happy to allow it. But I moderate comments that try to demean me or any person I regard highly. Note that: I don't mind if you don't agree with me, but I do mind very much if you are not decent with your language in disagreeing with me. And if people refrain from commenting for quite a long time, I shall assume that I am simply not a good enough writer. In that case, I shall either stop posting or delete the blog. No use in trying to post something that people in general think is not well-written.

To sum up, you can comment to say what mistakes you found in my way of writing, whether I should continue posting here at all or not, or jot down points in agreement or disagreement with me. I am open to discussing and debating, but I request you to comment in decent language always.

That said and done, I would like visitors to give all the three articles below a read, at least once. And then comment, or else how do I come to know what people think about my articles?

Thanking you in anticipation,
Sudipto.

Hey, thanks a lot for your compliments.. :)!! Yeah, every place has it's fair share of sick people - maybe Durgapur has more of them...The best way to get over them is to simply ignore them...See, you can't please everyone in your life...So it's better you stop trying to please these people....

Please don't hesitate to comment on my blogs...it's most welcome...And, don't get me wrong...it's not that I don't care for other people...It's just that I'm indifferent to their opinions..I do give a thought to what they're saying...but I don't take everything at face value...So, it's not that I don't give a damn about you, neither is it true that you're not as talented as I am....Yes, maybe you haven't been able to utilise your talents to the full extent..but that's a different story...

Anyway, your blogs are quite good....but don't get disheartened if you find no comments in the beginning....Do keep writing...atleast for your own sake...All the best...

Sudipto,
Having heard everything about the 'common herd' while we were reading Julius Caesar should have given you some immunity to those who shoot their mouths (often profanely or irrelevantly), and you must assume, from the paucity of comments on your blog, that very few people have anything worthwhile to say: that should not deter you from posting whatever you have given serious thought to, and consider worth posting. Every once in a while a decent, nice and intelligent comment will compensate for all the vulgarity and dreariness, and egg you on to exert yourself again. That's what I do. A strong character will not jump to the conclusion that the lack of praise can mean only that he cannot write well! Many of us are condemned to walk alone in life: let us accept that with good grace. It will do you a lot of good, not least by teaching you the value of true friends, because they are so hard to come by!

Sudipto,
You may or may not post this comment, but allow me to point out something very vital: violence in words is just as grave a fault as violence in action, and you who profess to be so deeply inspired by the ideal of non-violence, by reacting so violently to someone who is stupid and dirty enough to write profane rubbish about your blog merely show either that you do not really understand what the ideal means, or are simply too weak to live up to it: in that case it would be a good idea not to profess it so loudly and so often, because you will only make a laughing stock of yourself! - The first thing about non-violence, as I have understood it, is that it is not for the weak; the second thing is that it is far better practised than preached. The world is full of yapping curs: shall we prove merely that we can bark louder than they? Don't you realise that ignoring trash is not just the best, but the only way to treat them?

Sir,
I think what you pointed out in your comment (I've allowed it, by the way) was right. It's quite easy to say something, and very hard to stick to that! Next time onwards, I shall keep this in mind. Sorry, that just shows how immature, ordinary and childish I still am. Forgive me for the mistake. I hope you will. I shall be more stoical in managing my distractors and critics now. Ignoring is perhaps better. And as a gesture, I've already deleted the violent comment in question. I'm too eager to learn and correct myself, and I thank you deeply for saying what you have. Trying to be more calm is the first step towards non-violence, and I shall try my level best to adhere to that ideal. Sorry and thank you, again. That's easily the best and most relevant comment I have on my blog.

To Mr. Anonymous who keeps foul-mouthing me,

Hey, you know that you're quite right. I'm a big fool, because I responded rather poorly to your provocation-- I shouldn't have fallen prey to that. May I request you to ignore my blog? It'll save you the inconvenience of reading "trash".

Please, do keep my request. You know, I wrote a rather angry and profane comment earlier addressing you, but then I realised I was being unncessarily violent with words-- which doesn't adhere to the non-violence I admire and try to practise. So here's an apology for that blunder of mine.

And please don't force yourself to read stuff you don't like. You see, I don't force people to follow me. I just request!
